What is the placement warranty? Am I guaranteed an internship if I am admitted into the program?
The placement warranty is simple: if the proposed internships are not satisfactory, we will reimburse you in full.
Why apply to the EIC program? What are the advantages of an internship in Canada?
Our internship program in Canada is a professional investment that will give you a definite edge on the job market. International work experience will undoubtedly help you land your dream job in the future. You’ll have demonstrated your ability to thrive in a new working environment, alongside people from all professional and cultural backgrounds. Several former EIC students have received full-time job offers from their employers after the internship period. Of course, there is no guarantee that all candidates will receive a job offer after their EIC internship.
What are the application deadlines?
EIC accepts candidates into the program on a continuous basis. However, we recommend that candidates apply as early as possible, given the due process for admissibility and the unpredictability of the visa application process. Applicants cannot begin the internship without a visa; we recommend that students apply to the EIC program at least 1 month before the start of the desired internship period to avoid any delay.

I have been accepted into the EIC program. What is the deadline to complete the application process?I have been accepted into the EIC program. What is the deadline to complete the application process?
Our international programs are highly competitive, with limited spaces in each of the industries and destinations. As such, applicants are required to confirm their candidacy and pay the deposit within the prescribed deadlines:
For internships beginning within less than 120 days of the admissibility confirmation
→ Confirmation is required within 5 business days following the admissibility confirmation
For internships beginning in over 120 days of the admissibility confirmation
→ Confirmation is required within 10 business days following the admissibility confirmation
Note that once the confirmation delay has elapsed, any candidates that wish to re-engage in the program must complete and submit a new application.
Is there a list of all employment opportunities? Can I choose an internship in a specific company?
EIC works with numerous employers across Canada, all of whom have changing internship availability depending on their needs and the seasonal needs of the business. Furthermore, EIC is also consistently creating new partnerships and as such, there is no static list of all employment opportunities available. Because of the variable nature of the business, there is no warranty that a candidate could select a specific company for an internship.
When will I know where I'm doing my internship?
Our placement team will engage with you in a placement process and confirm your internship contract, if applicable, approximately 6 to 8 weeks before the start date.
What happens if I don't get the internship I want?
Successful candidates are guaranteed a professional internship in their chosen field. We have extensive experience of internship placements and are proud of the successful matches between our participants and our host companies. All the organizations we work with are thoroughly vetted to ensure they offer a rewarding internship experience for our participants.
Our confidence in our program is demonstrated by our full money-back guarantee if you are not placed in the desired field. We’ll give you a full refund, giving you the peace of mind of knowing you’ll have a meaningful internship experience in Canada.
Can I discuss work opportunities with the placement team prior to the admission decision?
Due to the high number of applications, our dedicated program specialists are currently working only with candidates that have officially confirmed their participation in the program.
How does the placement process work?
As soon as you have confirmed your spot and paid the required deposit, you will be contacted by the placement team to build your professional profile. Your profile will be based on your prior work experience (if any), your educational path, and your general career objectives. This joint effort between candidates and EIC ensures that all participants in the program are presented with the internship opportunities that will best match their needs, goals, and interests.
Once the above is finalized, the placement team will begin searching for the employer & internship that best fits your profile. EIC staff will coach you to prepare you for the interviews that will help you lock-in the internship of your choice!
Most of the program participants are successful during the interview process, as our dedicated staff carefully pairs candidates and employers for the best possible match.

Are internships remunerated?
Remuneration for internships in Canada is not regulated and varies according to sector, company and position. Remuneration can take the form of a salary, performance-related commissions or company benefits (transportation passes, meals, participation in trips, seminars, company events, etc.). You should bear in mind, however, that an internship in finance or accounting is much more likely to result in financial compensation than an internship with an association or NGO, for example.
What happens when I arrive at my work placement?
Before departing from your home country, you will receive a welcome pack which will give you all the information you need to prepare for your arrival. On arrival, you’ll be picked up by our trusted driver, taken to your accommodation, met by your experienced coordinator and given a tour of the facilities. If you arrive at your destination after 6 p.m. local time, you will meet your coordinator the following morning.
Will I get university credits?
It all depends on your course of study. If your internship is compulsory for the validation of your studies, you will obtain university credits if you meet the criteria required by your university or school (e.g.: validated internship report).
What does a typical work schedule look like?
International internships are generally full-time, work-intensive jobs that require 35-to-40-hour work weeks. Depending on your location, your employer will determine a work schedule that best fits your situation.
I don't need accommodation, can I choose only the services I need?
Please contact the Admissions Manager to discuss this option.
How are the accommodations organized?
Interns on our program have their own private rooms and share common areas with other interns or international students, depending on the destination.
