F.A.Q

WHAT WE OFFER

Have Questions ?

Are you considering participating in one of our internship programs in Canada, but still have questions ? Don’t panic, our F.A.Q dedicated to our internship programs is here to answer all your questions and help you prepare for your stay with EIC.

The placement warranty is simple: if the proposed internships are not satisfactory, we will reimburse you in full.

Most remote internships are not remunerated. However, your experience will become an indispensable asset for you to find your next job!

There are no fees to submit an application. The fees for the remote internship start at €2,850.

There are no application fees for the EIC program. Once an applicant is accepted, an initial €250 deposit is required within 14 days of the date of acceptance to secure an internship. The EIC internship program fees (less initial deposit) are due in two equal instalments: the first payment is required within 30 days of the date of acceptance; the remaining balance is due within 21 days following the signing of the internship (employment) contract.

Our international programs are highly competitive, with limited spaces in each of the industries and destinations. As such, applicants are required to confirm their candidacy and pay the deposit within the prescribed deadlines:

For internships beginning within less than 120 days of the admissibility confirmation
→ Confirmation is required within 5 business days following the admissibility confirmation

For internships beginning in over 120 days of the admissibility confirmation
→ Confirmation is required within 10 business days following the admissibility confirmation

Note that once the confirmation delay has elapsed, any candidates that wish to re-engage in the program must complete and submit a new application.

EIC’s team of experts evaluates each application to ensure that the best candidates are admitted into the program. That is why each applicant goes through a personalized interview process.

We are mindful that some opportunities can be time sensitive. That is why we will communicate the admissibility decision as soon as possible. Candidates should expect to receive the decision within 3-5 business days following the EIC Initial admissibility interview.

Our remote internship program is a career investment that will provide you with a clear advantage in the professional workplace. International work experience will undoubtedly help you land your dream job in the future. You will have shown a capability to thrive in a new working environment alongside people with all types of professional and cultural backgrounds. Several EIC alumni have received full-time job offers from their employers after the internship period. Of course, there is no guarantee that all candidates will obtain employment offers after their EIC internship.

EIC works with numerous employers across Canada, all of whom have changing internship availability depending on their needs and the seasonal needs of the business. Furthermore, EIC is also consistently creating new partnerships and as such, there is no static list of all employment opportunities available. Because of the variable nature of the business, there is no warranty that a candidate could select a specific company for an internship.

At EIC, we understand that your plans can change. That is why we offer a lifetime credit for all EIC program fees paid in advance. If you must postpone your internship or change the destination city, you will obtain a full credit that can be applied against future fees. Bear in mind that program fees can change over time, and candidates are subject to prevailing fees at the time of re-application. Note that the credit is transferable to direct family members only.

EIC accepts candidates into the program on a continuous basis. However, we recommend that candidates apply as early as possible, given the due process for admissibility and the unpredictability of the visa application process. Applicants cannot begin the internship without a visa; we recommend that students apply to the EIC program at least 1 month before the start of the desired internship period to avoid any delay.

Each selected candidate has a guaranteed professional internship opportunity in their desired field. EIC has vast experience in finding the right employer-intern fit and our dedicated staff will do its best to ensure that all parties are satisfied. All our current partner companies undergo a thorough verification process by which EIC can confirm that the employers’ work environment will provide for the most enriching internship experience.

Our refund policy is a testament to our determination: we are so confident that we will place you in the field of your choice, that we will otherwise provide a full refund. This guarantees that you will have a memorable and satisfactory internship experience in Canada.

Due to the high number of applications, our dedicated program specialists are currently working only with candidates that have officially confirmed their participation in the program.

As soon as you have confirmed your spot and paid the required deposit, you will be contacted by the placement team to build your professional profile. Your profile will be based on your prior work experience (if any), your educational path, and your general career objectives. This joint effort between candidates and EIC ensures that all participants in the program are presented with the internship opportunities that will best match their needs, goals, and interests.

Once the above is finalized, the placement team will begin searching for the employer & internship that best fits your profile. EIC staff will coach you to prepare you for the interviews that will help you lock-in the internship of your choice!

Most of the program participants are successful during the interview process, as our dedicated staff carefully pairs candidates and employers for the best possible match.

International internships are generally full-time, work-intensive jobs that require 35-to-40-hour work weeks. Depending on your location, your employer will determine a work schedule that best fits your situation.

Depending on your school program, you may be able to obtain credit for your internship. Typically, if an internship is mandatory for your program of studies, then you will obtain the corresponding credits if conditions are met (e.g., signed practical experience declarations). The candidate is responsible for meeting all the requirements mandated by the educational institution.
