The Working Holiday Visa (WHV) is a temporary work visa that allows young adults from partner countries to gain professional experience in Canada.
Offered through the International Experience Canada (IEC) program, the Canada Working Holiday Visa promotes international mobility and provides a unique opportunity to gain professional experience, improve language skills, and discover a new way of life in a dynamic, multicultural environment.
With Experience Internship Canada (EIC), applicants receive support before and during their stay to prepare their departure, integrate smoothly, and make the most of their experience in Canada.

The Working Holiday Visa (WHV) is intended for young adults aged 18 to 35 who wish to live, work and travel in Canada for several months. This permit, part of the International Experience Canada (IEC) program, allows participants to work freely in most sectors without a prior job offer.
Valid for up to 24 months depending on nationality, it offers complete freedom: holders can change jobs, change cities and explore Canada at their own pace. Applications are submitted online via the IRCC website.
The number of available spots is limited each year, and candidates are selected through a random draw. It is therefore recommended to apply as soon as the pools open to maximize your chances and to start the process one year in advance.

The application pools for the International Experience Canada (IEC) program generally begin in January and end around October. These dates may vary depending on the number of available quotas and how applications are managed by the Government of Canada.
Applicants to the Working Holiday Visa (WHV Canada) category enter a candidate pool and must wait to receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) in order to submit their temporary work visa application.
On average, a round of invitations is issued each week until all quotas are allocated.
Once the invitation is received, the official application must be submitted online
on the International Experience Canada (IRCC) website.
Processing times vary depending on the country of citizenship and the period of the year, but are generally between 4 and 8 weeks after submitting a complete application.
The WHV Canada is allocated through a random draw and is subject to a limited annual quota.
To maximize your chances, it is recommended to create your profile as soon as the pools open and monitor quota updates on the official International Experience Canada website.
With EIC Canada, applicants receive support to understand the process, prepare the required documents, and approach the Canadian visa application with confidence.
